Fort Myers Beach
Fort Myers Beach is the beachfront community located on the barrier Estero Island, with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and Estero Bay to the east. This island is a beach vacationer's destination, with a variety of resorts, hotels, condominiums and beach cottages. The main attraction at Fort Myers Beach is just that, the beach, with miles of soft, white sandy beaches. The north end of the island, primarily the Times Square area, is livelier and more congested, especially in season from January through April. Here you'll find souvenir shops, restaurants and beach activities. The south end of the island has a more tranquil, residential feel. In addition to spending the day at the beach, visitors to Fort Myers Beach can jet ski, parasail, paddleboard and fish. For more information, please see our Fort Myers Beach Visitor Guide.
